Time seriously is whizzing past.
I was supposed to post this a week ago but at the moment the kids are on school holidays and I'm working all day with them and by the time I finish work my brain is mush (is this me getting old? Ah!) perhaps I just need more coffee. Those of you who know me well and knew my intense love story with red bull will be happy to know I haven't had a red bull since I arrived in America. Although my coffee consumption is reasonably high.
School holidays are well and truly in full swing, with both boys, 5 and 7 at home now. Luckily we have a pool so we get to spend the sunny days outside by the pool, playing basketball or at the park. The tasks for this summer include teaching them to swim and teaching them to ride their bikes without training wheels.

I got to wake up the other morning to a great message from my best friend who was filling me in on the cheeky behaviour of my little godson back home in Australia. He has started to play hide and seek (hide and sink) and after a mild heart attack, she found him in his secret hiding spot. Love love love that boy. See you in November Moo.
Mail was delivered into the letterbox or mailbox, depending on if you're being Australian or American. This postcard arrived from my Mum in Australia. Really did brighten my day. I'm old fashioned and love nothing more than hand written letters that I can keep forever. Even though my Dad always writes me emails, I requested hand written letters :) And today his arrived too!
Last week I finally conquered my fears of the big gym buffs and decided to do weights regardless of the serious looking men (and women) surrounding me.
My weights are still a little small. I'll be working on that. Some of the people lift weights that make them look like they are about to have a stroke or burst something in their head. I'm not at that stage yet, nor do I really want to be.
Gym. Cardio. Weights.
